Why Bon Echo?

Eight Reasons to Choose Bon Echo Family Campground

Experience Peaceful Mother Nature

Unlike many campgrounds, we are relatively non-commercialized. We’ve kept this get-away as close to nature as possible protecting many trees and natural bushes. Our well-kept facilities and buildings have a definite “rustic” theme, which fit in well with the natural surroundings.

Nature Without Sacrificing Modern Conveniences

You will enjoy 30 amp hydro and water hook-ups, plus never be more than 3 minutes walk from our clean washroom facilities featuring sinks, hot showers, and flush toilets. You can also stay connected with work or loved ones with our Wi-Fi.

Relax on a Clean, Safe, Quiet Lake with Good Fishing

Little Marble Lake has very few motorized boats buzzing around like at many places, so it’s safe for your children. In fact it’s so quiet you may feel like you have your own private lake! Our sandy beach is shallow for 20-30 feet so your small children can play safely in the water. Out a little further, enjoy a nice swim or calm outing in one of our rental boats. Some visitors simply drift out onto the lake on a floating mattress – reading or napping. If you’re into fishing, this small lake has some big fish! If you want bigger water, much larger lakes are close by.

Escape the Noise & Crowds

Smell the refreshingly clean air, hear the soft breeze in the pines, and marvel at how quiet and relaxing this place is. A relatively small campground, not a “trailer city” with all the hustle and noise that comes with that, rowdy campers and party animals are not welcome.

Each year thousands come in droves to nearby Bon Echo Provincial Park which at times can be a crowded, exciting, hub of activity! Many travelers who are visiting the park during the day stay with us instead since they want a quieter out-of-the-way place to relax. They also don’t want to walk a mile to washroom facilities and the beach.

You Never Have to Walk Far

Our small size allows you to relax and keep an eye on your children easier, plus you are never more than a couple of minute’s walk to the beach or washrooms. Since the entire campground hugs the shore, you will likely have a view of the water from your campsite.

Lots to See & Do

You will never run out of things to see and do in this area. See the Fun Stuff to Do page for more information about attractions, activities and local amenities.

Child friendly

Your children will enjoy the space and freedom of the park while you rest easy knowing that the park is safe for them to play in. The waterfront is almost always within eyes view so you can keep an eye on the little tikes. As well, the sandy beach has a long shallow walk out with no sudden drop off, rocks or snakes.
